Psycutlery, from the dev of "Psycho Waluigi," is now COMPLETE
Over a decade of my life. Making a game about a SPORK. And now it's finally here - and what a rough and rocky road it's been! I can only hope the years spent on this virtual amalgamation of pure, spontaneous zaniness shine through in its amount of content, its level of quality, the variety in all 100 of its decent-sized levels, its storytelling, and its multitude of gimmicks and power-ups.
It began as a simple experiment to see if I could make something original, after spending waaaaay too long making Mario fangames as "Thunder Dragon" (including the more-popular-than-I'm-comfortable-with "Psycho Waluigi," along with a couple about Toads striking or whatever) - in fact, Psycutlery began as something of a Yoshi fangame.
As fan works began to prove too limiting for all the ideas I had, I hastily threw in a "frog" character (because frogs, like Yoshis, have long tongues, right?) before deciding that the Yoshi tongue thing was too unoriginal. Thus, I hastily made the tongue invisible while hastily plastering a spork floating on the end of said invisible tongue. I kept at it until it stopped resembling a fangame altogether, and started resembling whatever it even is now. Even today, Psycutlery stands as a showcase for my growth as a game developer over a long period of time (for better or for worse?).
(pictured here: Yoshi riding a Yoshi. Or something.)
I feel, in the end, this game turned out a LOT better than it had any business to. Perhaps it goes to show that, with a bit of love for and dedication to one's craft, just about any idea can blossom into something truly unexpected. It is because I love doing what I do so much that I am offering Psycutlery completely for free, in hopes that I may share my passion for weird and creative things with all who would welcome it.
But what do you think? The full game download is right here. I'd appreciate if you could give it a chance. If you like what you're playing, I would humbly ask that you share the game with others who might feel the same - as an autistic developer with little online presence or reach these days, I would thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Wanna chat? We've got a Discord server.
Have a nice day!

If we beat the game, do we get to play as her 'evil twin' sister? I'm hoping she has moderately altered gameplay, like not being able to grab enemies but hitting anything with a fork (whether it hurts them or not) fills up the special meter.
I'm hoping for a kind of 'Milky Way Wishes' run where she has to find the location of all the spells (Which she can switch to in her items menu once she obtains them). Though I think the coughing has to be replaced with an evil laugh? Not even the full laugh, just one MWAH and HAH at a time.
IT’S OUT?????? OH MY GOODNESS
I remember playing the demo for this a while back and thought it had a lot of promise. Really cool to see this completed after all this time.
I remember playing Psycho Waluigi and Toad Strikes Back on MFGG back in the day and I have a lot of nostalgia for those games, so it's cool to see what is essentially a spiritual successor to them.
Playing through the first few levels, the art is nice, the sound effects are satisfying, the dialogue is fun. Looks like there will be a lot of variety in power-ups and level themes, too. I look forward to playing the rest of it.
Thank you, I appreciate it! I'm glad to see those who remember my old fangames finding their way here. :)
